Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Project Engineer who will actively be responsible for automations and digitalization agenda of our plant. Reporting to Continuous Improvement & Engineering Manager Greece you will drive the secure operation, management, and compliance of all Operational Technology systems within the organization and being responsible for:

Project Planning:

 

  • Supports and develops the Critical Control Network and systems according to the defined strategy. Provides technical support where required, works closely with process improvement teams to deliver project, and leads the site maintenance team.
  • The Project Engineer supports the development of the culture of equipment ownership in the team with high action orientation and commitment for results which delivers manufacturing excellence Contributes to the Compelling Business Need – Work Plan, CBN, long term (Value Creation Plan - VCP) and mid-term (Annual Operations Plan - AOP) plans cascaded from the area strategy which continuously over delivers on company goals.
  • Responsible for pre-engineering scoping, costing and capital expenditure request document preparation using the appropriate standards, processes and procedures aligned with IM – Initiative Management pillar.
  • Owning CAPEX project budget (timing, actuals vs. budget, financial and technical risks)

Project Management & Execution:

  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive OT cybersecurity architectures and solutions for manufacturing environment, safeguarding critical industrial systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with networking and Regional IT teams (Controls Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, etc.) to deploy and maintain OT discovery solutions across the enterprise.
  • Producing tender documents for suppliers to ensure competitive bidding on project works and working with central procurement to get contracts in place for orders.
  • Preparing and issuing relevant documentation such as drawings, cable schedules, commissioning documents, equipment schedules, FAT – Factory Acceptance Check, SAT –Systems Acceptance Test, S&H – Safety and Health checklists, risk assessments.
  • Working with the software engineers to develop a URS – User Request Specification for the process installation and review FDS – Functional Development Specification.
  • Management of orders using SAP, from raising PO’s – Purchase Orders, issuing to suppliers, receipting and checking invoice discrepancies.
  • Managing cost versus budget using the appropriate standards to report actual, commitment, and remaining budget spend on a monthly basis.

For this role as a Project Engineer, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • University degree (Bachelor) or equivalent qualification in in Engineering (Automation, Electrical or Mechanical) or another related field.
  • Strong engineering (multi skilled or mechanical bias) background ideally within a process manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience of delivering capex investment projects.
  • Experience of hands-on commissioning./ Experience and or understand of project management techniques.
  • Strong project and stakeholder managements skills with experience of navigating complex projects.
  • Fluency both in English and Greek.
